Professional Summary
My name is Irem, I am 20 years old and studied journalism in Antwerp. I was never a lazy person, that's why I have been working alongside my studies since I was 15 years old.
In the past I had several jobs where I worked in a social environment. That made me grow during the years. I learned how to handle stress in the workplace, even though the circumstances were sometimes very difficult. Now I can get along with everyone and they often say that I'm a very approachable person that helps to find ideas in any situation.

I am a person that can handle a high workload and work very independently. I also like the interaction of working in a team. In those situations, I am usually the person that leads the projects and motivates the group. I am a very optimistic person and believes that everything (usually) comes to a good end. In addition, I am someone who is very driven. Striving for a goal is a challenge for me.

It was an internship that gave insight into working for a sales company. I was able to use the skills that I had learned in secondary school at this place. They worked with the exact same ERP- package that I had been using at school, Navision.

Freelance Photographer - Groendecor
I worked with a Garden Architecture and made pictures of his brand. We visited
greenhouses where I made pictures of the plants.

Videojournalist - Het Laatste Nieuws
As an undergraduate student journalism I completed my internship at DPG Media, Het Laatste Nieuws. I was surrounded by people who made 24/7 news. This was an amazing experience that made me grow as a journalist.

I graduated from high school in Commerce. I learned how to work with Microsoft Office and ERP-package such as Navision. With this study I also developed my entrepreneurship feeling and became a leading person.
2021
Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool Antwerpen
I will soon graduate as a video journalist. I have learned the ethics of the profession and to be very practical in the field. I've developed the skills to make short and long videos about news and human interest as well. Working with a camera and editing in Adobe Premiere Pro holds no more secrets for me.
Interests
I have a broad range of interests. As a journalist, I have a general interest in news, but I also like to be in touch with people. I like to feel peoples stories and get them told. There are tons of people that have gone trough a lot, these stories need to be told to find some similarity among people. Besides that I like to make news about Showbizz and Fashion.

I'm also a very creative person. I've made vlogs in the past when I was on vacation. Playing around with the camera has become a hobby of mine.
